Buffalo
native Greg Klyma is the Rust Belt Vagabond, a folk troubadour with a rock
'n' roll heart. And he's got songs, lots of them, including his prolific
catalog of music, from historical ballads to outrageously funny bar songs.
"A man hellbent on becoming Buffalo's own Woody Guthrie." -- Jeff Miers,

featuring Cheryl Prashker, Zoe
Mulford and Brad Yoder
Cheryl
Prashker:
A
percussionist extraordinaire -- classically trained at
McGill University; a former member of the Yiddish Theatre of
Montreal, touring the United States, Canada and Europe; and
formerly with the Lakeshore Concert Band, touring Norway,
England and Scotland.
Acknowledged
by Pittsburgh Magazine as “ruling the Pittsburgh coffeehouse scene,” Brad
Yoder is a singer-songwriter-guitar player and saxophonist who logs more
than 150 performances annually, playing colleges, cafés, churches,
festivals, First Nights, and even the zoo.
Brad's music features a mix of humorous, poetic,
political, funky and edgy original songs, covering a musical range from folk
to indie rock (with unexpected musical and lyrical twists). Songs from his
four CDs have been featured on CBS’s “NUMB3RS,” NPR’s “Car Talk,” the ABC
Family Network’s “Beautiful People,” “Dawson’s Creek” 5th season DVD, and as
part of the Pittsburgh Regional History Center’s 9-11 Memorial Exhibit.
Award-winning
American songwriter Zoe Mulford, now based in Manchester,
England, provides a musical journey that brings to mind
English and Scottish folk ballads, the songs of Kurt Weil
and George Gershwin, and old-time country and blues. She
backs her clear vocals with guitar or banjo.
"Her lyrics are intelligent, thought-provoking, and so warm
that they demand that you get to know this person better." - Bob Gramann, Fredericksburg Songwriters' Showcase
Hailed by Pop Star Michael Bolton
as
"An Amazing
Artist and Spirit," Bukstel–a multifaceted singer-songwriter
draws from her rollercoaster of a life to bring hope, laughter, tears,
biting
wit and inspiration to her NEW irresistibly eclectic CD.
"Singer/songwriter, Ellen Bukstel brings her Powerful Voice ... Insightful
Lyrics ... & Passionate Performance to the stage. Her approach is respectful,
irreverent and humorous all in one set."

"Keep on
singin, girl! You have a gorgeous voice. Your work is fantastic...you are as
good as it gets in every way that matters -- your passion, your voice, your
musicianship, your meticulous recordings...."
-Christine Lavin, Singer/Songwriter
Maryland's Bob Sima burst onto
the singer-songwriter scene after taking hiatus from his folk-pop trio
Stereopool and scoring a series of high profile song contest successes
(Wildflower Grand Prize Winner 2009, Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist 2008,
Kerrville Finalist 2008 & 2009, NewSong Finalist 2009).
Besides having a warm and powerful
voice, Bob is a poet, observer, scribe, and sometimes reluctant healer. He
might be more influenced by the likes of Rumi and Ghandi as he is by Dylan
or Guthrie. He also is as comfortable with a raucous storytelling rambler as
he is with a soft mellow ballad. And he will throw in some alt-country now
and then. His two studio records, “Pour It On” and “Periphery,” are best
described as “Good Music for Good People”, full of life, depth and feel.
"For anyone who wishes Van Morrison were still
making rustic acoustic soul records like Tupelo Honey, Bob Sima's new
release Pour It On is going to be the find of the year. Brimming with
memorable melodies and beautiful mandolin, fiddle and dobro lines, these are
timeless songs that sound like they could have been bursting out of back
porch radios for the past 40 years. But they don't make you nostalgic so
much as they make you look forward to what Sima will do next."
Drew Pearce - Freelance writer - Acoustic Guitar Magazine
"A master musical storyteller, often dealing in songs of the
heart. Rogers digs an emotional well and invites the listener in for a long,
refreshing drink."
- Dirty Linen
...he knows and captures what is real and lasting - the
joyous, contradictory poetry of living - Dirty Linen
"Garnet Rogers
is capable of awe-inspiring and unpredictable stuff - and that
includes more than just music"
Resolutely
independent, Garnet Rogers has turned down offers from major labels to do
his music his own way.
"What
tales this singer-songwriter from Philadelphia has...
With insight and good humor, he has taken these life
experiences and distilled them into old fashioned story
songs brimming with wit and compassion." ---New York Times
"Down-to-earth lyrics about
ordinary folk sung in an often jocular, and always entertaining style...He
may be compassionate, but there’s always at least a modicum of black humour
somewhere along the line to keep his audiences on their toes."
---The Jerusalem Post
“In these
times, we need the singers who will do the homework and tell
the stories! Joe Jencks is among the fine next generation
singers who are ready to carry on the tradition as well as
look into the future” –Holly Near, Ukiah, CA
“The key to the future is people joining in. The music of
Joe Jencks captures this essential spirit. Joe is a
fantastic singer who carries on the traditions.” -Pete
Seeger
