Focus
Report to the Membership
January 2008
This report is a summary of
Focus accomplishments during the year of 2007.
Focus, beginning its seventh
year of operation, is a 501(c)3 organization that ended
2007 on a very successful note. For a non-profit
organization operating primarily with volunteer help,
this is a great accomplishment and speaks well to all
efforts in presenting well-attended shows.
Returning to the board for 2007
from the 2006 calendar year were Jerry Bresee, Cindy
Broome, Kay Coyte, Herb Cooper-Levy, Scott Moore, Fran
Sadoff-LeBow, David Spitzer, and Karen Tupek. Soren
Bakken joined the board during the year.
Officers for 2007 continued to
be Cindy Broome, president, Scott Moore, vice president,
Jerry Bresee, treasurer, and Herb Cooper-Levy,
secretary. Venue managers continued to be Herb
Cooper-Levy in Alexandria and David Spitzer in
Rockville.
Fran Sadoff-LeBow and Soren
Bakken have left the board, and we thank them for their
time and expertise. Soren will continue to work with
Focus on new venue planning. The board welcomes a new
member for 2008, Jay Votel. We look forward to his time,
energy, and talents with Focus.
Rockville – David Spitzer has
reported that Rockville netted around $900 for 2007.
Alexandria – Herb Cooper-Levy
has reported that Alexandria netted $975 for 2007.
